TRIAGNOSYS GmbH was founded in March 2002 as spin-off from the German
Aerospace Center (DLR).
TriaGnoSys GmbH is independent and completely in private property.
TriaGnoSys develops system concepts for communication networks, with
focus on satellite and aeronautical communications.
TriaGnoSys business
is divided between three consulting practices serving space, aerospace
and terrestrial communications. In each of these areas TriaGnoSys
offers
technical consulting services, especially for prototypal demonstrator
developments, communications protocols and the integration
of multimedia
services. Interworking between satellite, aeronautical and terrestrial
networks is a strength of TriaGnoSys.
TriaGnoSys has over 25 man years of experience in the space and
aerospace business with more than 150 publications. TriaGnoSys senior
engineers have for many years played major roles in groundbreaking
international projects, mainly under EC and ESA research programmes and
contracts.
Selected earlier and ongoing project involvements with specific
relevance
for the ANASTASIA proposal are the following:
WirelessCabin (EC IST): The project is developing wireless access
technologies inside an aircraft cabin such as W-LAN, Bluetooth and GSM/UMTS.
A demonstration campaign will be performed in commercial long-haul
aircraft (A340) via a GEO satellite link. TriaGnoSys key personnel is
project coordinator in persona of WirelessCabin.
FIFTH (EC IST): The project will provide multimedia services via
satellite to high-speed trains. TriaGnoSys will specify the overall
demonstrator and design the antenna and pointing mechanisms.
Protocols and Signalling for Adaptive Fade Mitigation Techniques (FMT)
in DVB-RCS Multi-Beam Systems ESA Study AO/1-4241/02/NL/ND. TriaGnoSys
identifies, analyses, optimises and demonstrates adaptive Fade
Mitigation Techniques with the corresponding protocols, resource
allocation and signalling for future broadband,
DVB based satellite
systems.
Mobile Ku-band Receive only Terminal Demonstrator is an ESA research
project that investigates and demonstrates a cost-effective system for
personal radio and multimedia services to moving vehicles.
TriaGnoSys is responible for the design and integration of the
land-mobile Ku satellite antenna and the corresponding pointing,
acquisition and tracking system.
Another projects of TriaGnoSys personnel relevant to the project scope
is ABATE (EC-IST 5th frame programme) were aeronautical multimedia
service demonstration via satellite was demonstrated in-flight using a
2-Mbps link. |
